ROY, TOM, IAN and SHIV - WALK THE NORTH WEST NODE
Roy, Tom, Ian and Shiv will walk 50 miles in 24 hours
My Story
Every day, almost 1000 Military Co-Responders and Community First Responders stand ready to help save lives across our communities, providing critical care in the vital minutes before an ambulance arrives. These dedicated volunteers attended almost 28,000 emergency 999 incidents, often reaching patients close to home or deploying in specialist response vehicles to where they are needed most.
To support this lifesaving work, our Military Co-Responders and Military champions will take on an extraordinary 50-mile walk across the North West area of South Central Ambulance Service. Carrying full response equipment and wearing standard Trust uniform, they will travel through Didcot, Oxford City, Kidlington and Adderbury, finishing at SCAS Headquarters in Northern House, Bicester.
This challenge is more than a walk, it is a powerful commitment to the patients and families who depend on rapid emergency care when every second counts. It costs around £2,000 to train and fully equip a single responder, and donations fund vital training, vehicles, defibrillators, and equipment that protect vulnerable patients.
Please give what you can and help us continue saving lives in the moments that matter most.
Roy and Tom thank you for your support and every donation will be greatfully received, and applied to help save lives.
