My Story
We are two CFRs from South Oxfordshire planning on taking on the Thames Path Challenge from Tower Bridge in London, all the way to Henley.
Practically 3 marathons in 3 days (over 2 weekends) in August and September 2026, walking approximately 22 miles a day.
Why are we doing this? Being CFRs, we have witnessed first hand how getting to 999 calls before the crews can arrive is vital. We can provide life saving treatment as soon as possible, because we are based within communities. We can only do this because the South Central Ambulance Charity provides us with the equipment and training we need to carry out this role.
